One of my cats liked to lie behind my laptop, which blocked the fan and made it run hot. I decided to try this out and have not been disappointed! My laptop lies flat on the arms of the stand, and it doesn’t slip forward because each arm curves upward right at the end to keep my laptop in place. This is just what I needed!

FAVORITE FEATURE:
Another thing I like about this product is that it really allows my laptop to breathe. I am a teacher and a writer, and at any given time I have multiple windows, browsers, tabs, and programs open. This stand gives my laptop the needed space for air ventilation, so my laptop doesn’t overheat.

STURDINESS:
I also like how sturdy it is. I’ve had my stand for a couple years now, and yet it is still holding up with no problem. Every now and then, one of my cats tries to get on top of my closed laptop, and I shoo them off gently. Even with this added unintentional weight of a 10- or 15-pound cat standing on top, it has not broken! Also, I might type for several hours at a time during a writing session, so this laptop stand really holds up to my abuse during a writing frenzy! 🙂

PRO TIP:
Because of the design, you can easily store your mousepad, mouse, external hard drive, and other items underneath your laptop at the base of the stand because of the smart design.

BOTTOM LINE:
I love mine. It is a permanent fixture in my office at this point. Now that my niece and nephew are teenagers and have laptops of their own, I am getting them each one just like mine.
